Ravi Shastri praised PM Modi’s
India’s captain Virat Kohli on Thursday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic in the country. Addressing the nation, PM Modi spoke on the importance of social distinction in times of epidemic, and asked people to observe the “Janata curfew” on 22 March.

India’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also took to Twitter to praise PM Modi’s speech. “Believe it or not, a country like ours with one billion people needed to hear what @narendramodi ji said our afternoon, not all of them are privileged,” he said.
